~ Anatomy Study ~ 2020

6ft x 3.5ft Charcoal on Gray

This is one of my works that I’m most proud of! It is an anatomy study showcasing half muscle and half skeleton.
This took me around 46 hours to fully complete, including the conceptualizing, sketching, and production phase.

This is a 18×24 Still Life done with charcoal completed in roughly 22 hours!
I really enjoyed this piece and capturing the reflection of the cloth on the metal tea pot.

The goal of this piece was to capture the different techniques of shading from cartoon, contour, stippling, crosshatching, then silhouette! This really tested my attention to detail and technique, and it turned out really well!

~ Fear ~ 2019

18 x 24 Black & White Conte on Gray

I wanted to test my skills in quick work, so I timed myself for only 2 hours and use the gray paper to my advantage to help in the shading process

The inspiration for this piece is taken from a paper cut artist Shelly Castillo, with the combination of the song
“Green and Gold” by Lianne LaHavas!

~ Home ~ 2013

24 x 18 Ink on White

Fun fact: I completed this piece when I was 13! This is all done in ink, and the shading is achieved by writing the word “home” in cursive over and over again!
